GRETZKY FANTASY CAMP RAISES $60,000 USD TO KICK OFF TRIBUTE WEEK MAGIC IN THE PINK STICKS AS MIKE COMRIE SCORES AGAIN!

Wallaceburg, ON – TPS Hockey announced The 2nd annual Tribute to Hockey Moms pink stick weekend was a great success with 509 players taking to the ice with the specially decorated pink sticks.

The pink stick auction began Saturday March 17th and will run until April 4th 2007. The special edition sticks can be found at www.ebay.ca and www.ebay.com with all proceeds benefiting breast cancer research.

"We were excited to see so many NHL players hit the ice with pink sticks during the Tribute to Hockey Moms this past weekend." says Lesley Ring, Director, Corporate Development, and Canadian Cancer Society. "This overwhelming support from both NHL players and teams clearly demonstrates the importance of raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. I hope that their efforts will be matched by fans going online to bid on these special sticks to raise as much as we can for life-saving research."

Mike Comrie of the Ottawa Senators scored again in Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers making it his second straight Tribute goal with a pink stick and joked afterwards that he should order a few dozen of the lucky sticks: "I feel really privileged to be able to raise money for such a great cause," said Comrie. "Losing my mother was not easy and it's not easy to talk about it, but being in the situation I'm in, I want to do everything I can to help."

Sher-Wood, Nike Bauer, RBK, Easton, Mission, and Warrior all contributed to the enormous success of this year's weekend.

"It is almost impossible to thank everyone who has been involved in the tremendous success of this year's Tribute to Hockey Moms," comments John Pagotto, President of TPS Hockey. "However, TPS would like to extend a special thanks to all the players and teams that participated as well as the NHL, NHLPA and the Canadian Cancer Society for their efforts. We are also very grateful for the overwhelming media coverage the event received."
