Best Cage for Visability?

5500 and 8500 are the same cage. Only difference is the dri-fit cup in the 8500.

A friend of mine has the cage with the white on the inside and black on the inside. I started with a cage and went to a half shield. When I moved to Defense on a D league team, I moved back to a cage. Found I could not look up as much and see the puck with my peripheral vision as well as with a shield. I use Pert shampoo w/ conditioner on the visor. Rub it on both inside and ouside, then wipe off with paper towel. Leaves a thin film. Never fogs up as long as I don't touch it with sweaty hands. Been using that for a year now. As long as I remember to do it before a game, I"m good to go. I sweat like a pig. Just ordered an Itech shield w/ anti fog coat to try that. I may buy a combo bottom cage, top shield from a friend in the fall if I play defense again.

I just bought the oval 8500 to fit my NBH5500 helmet. It's great, best cage I've ever used, hardly notice the wires. I was ready to get the itech fantom but it seems like the fantom may just be another itech gimmick (similar to the itech wave(?) a few years back)
