ISO of LHS in northern VA, Baltimore MD, Washington DC

Hey guys.... I'm going to be traveling from NJ to Northern Virginia via Interstate 95 very soon. I wanted to get some input/suggestions for LHS/pro shops either at rinks or standalone in the Baltimore, MD area, Washington D.C. area, and Northern Virginia. Obviously any rating/recommendations for pro shops is subjective but I was looking for larger than average selection for equipment, etc....even if a shop does not have the largest selection... a sampling of rare brands is also interesting... such as TAC sticks/shafts, wide selection of Montreal Composite sticks and blades, DR, KOR, Christian, Graf, etc...

Any help would be appreciated.....

I heard rumors from one of the MHS mods that there used to be a shop in the Rockville, MD area... anyone know if it still exists?

It would be nice if people describe by state, region, etc. some of the shops and the lines that they carry....

I'll be doing something similar that will hopefully help out other MHS members in selecting shops to visit or support.

I like the Ashburn Ice House. They have RBK, Nike Bauer, Warrior, Easton, and I'm pretty sure CCM. The shop itself is a little small, but they are renovating soon, and by next year it will be bigger. The rink in Dale City has some decent stuff, and a lot of Virginia Statesman stuff.

You want exotic dial epuck,hockey giant etc....Selection is limited in every shop...CS is usually excellent

I can recommend with 100% confidence ForSports, which is between DC and Baltimore, in Laurel. www.forsports.com

They have a huge selection of stuff. They carry mission, easton, bauer, CCM skates, and also have a full range of the warrior stuff.

The only other proshop of note, is the one at the caps new facility in ballston (arlington)

Selection is very limited, they carry bauer and ccm skates. They have CCM/Rbk, NBH and Sherwood protective, and sherwood/itech goalie gear, but again, are pretty limited in their stuff.

The staff are friendly though, so if I need tape or anything I will give them my business, but for the bigger things I have to go to Forsports. They have been good to me in terms of not overselling me when I was buying stuff. Told me what would be good for my level, and even though I wasn't buying expensive gear, were very helpful.

As Saba says, selection in the area is somewhat limited, but there is good service, and you business is appreciated by them, you can tell that
