Red/Blue Tacks?

Are the CCM Tacks listed for $499.00 on Hockey Giant a new line? They look like the Tacks line from a couple of years ago. And whats the red or blue mean when you click on the size box.

CCM has temporarily canceled the Tacks line of skates for a few years. It's only Vector right now.

Red and Blue were stiffness ratings.

Blue = Stiff

Red = Medium

White = Soft

i had the 2004 pro tacks in blue (stiff)... great stiff boot, I liked it a lot.

Thats what threw me because at that price I thought that maybe they were a new release that looked like an older model. I wouldn't have paid that much when they were a brand new release let alone 2 or 3 years later.

They are harder to come by now and the Tacks were a very popular line.

Plus.... check back on the weekend. HockeyGiant arbitrarily changes it's prices all the time.

But you can get the 2005 pro tacks for cheaper.

Hehe.... the 2006 pro tacks had the pro-armor sides, the 2005 were stitched. If I recall the pic correctly, those were the 2005 models (and, again, presuming the pic was representative of the product).
