Mission vs. Bauer skate sizing

I want to order a pair of Mission skates for my brother. There's a problem in that he can't find any at a LHS so I might have to order online without him having ever tried the skates on. All I can really go on is his skate size in Bauers and, possibly, his shoe size.

Can someone please give me some feedback on how the Mission skate sizes compare to Bauers?

Although the general rule of thumb is Mission size = shoe size, in trying skates I've found that it really depends on the skate model. For example, I wear 10.5 shoe, 9D Bauer, but the 10.5D S500 was way too big for me. I think I had to go to 9.5D or 10D.
