New Cobra Steel

Recommended Posts

I am told the new Cobra steel is Canadian made and a far improvment over what they were using in the past. Anyone else notice an improvement in their steel?

I spoke to someone at Graf Canada a few months ago to ask about the advantages of the Cobra 5000 over the cobra 3000 NT. The person didn't make any claims about any improvement in the steel being used (nothing about a change in composition or manufacture process) however, the person did claim that the holder's themselves were made of a slightly more durable polymer. Supposedly, the claim was that the new polymer used in the Cobra 5000 was more durable, and likely to last much longer than the previous holders despite a slight drop in weight. The claim he made, which surprised me, was that the new polymer being used was more impervious to water (which I of course didn't realize was a problem or vulnerability with the previous holders).
