Tapered tenons

I noticed the R2 blades have a long tenon and blades from Easton and Inno have shorter tenons. Which is normal?

The R2 tapered shafts have 11 inch taper while the Synthesis has a much shorter taper.

I have an L-2. Which blades should I be using? Does it matter?

The length of the taper on each respective shaft is irrelevant. You can use any of the short hoseled blades in the l-2.

No, it doesn't matter although Mission would like you to use the L-2 blades

Ah, ok. I wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. This L-2 has put me through enough as it is. :P Mission needs to make more patterns if then want people to use their blades.
