T-blades

Recommended Posts

I'm really starting to get closer to a switch to T-blades from the Pitch 3's currently on these skates, but I have no way to test them beforehand. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect?

I'm relatively new to ice hockey, but I've played roller for years. I just can't stand when my steel gets dull, and I'm paranoid to skate without a sharpening for more than a couple games.

Does anyone have a pic of what this may look like?

Thanks in advance.

Just a pointer...

read the FAQ section and learn all the search options available to you.

There are threads about t'blades and photoshopped equipment.

The trick is to search the right section within the boards rather than the entire site.

P.S. Welcome to MSH :D

Just to clear the air....I made the switch because the closest place to get my skates sharpened is an hour away, and you can't wait for them....have to leave them for a few days. That being said I was anxious to try out the T Blades. I have to say....my first skate in them was last night for 2 hours of pick up and I was floored by how stable I felt on them after about 15 minutes. Yes they are loud and make funny noises, but I don't care....especially with how I felt skating in them. For me they felt as though the cut very deep, I never lost an edge all night, and either it was mental or otherwise....but I did feel that the glide was a touch better and smoother. So for me.....I am sold on the T Blade system. Pop me some questions, or battle my decision.

Most ppl end up going back to regular steel. I personally couldnt' stand how much the tblades flexed under my weight.

Thats why I am switching back, also they don't make a deep enough hollow for me. I am going to keep a pair for backup though.
