Quick question on Sher-Wood RM-7 blade

Recommended Posts

I picked up the Sher-Wood RM-19 shaft over the weekend and paired it with a RM-7 (Momentum) blade, the one that features a very short hosel. The Rm-19 is a tapered shaft and the RM-7 blade is a blade for a tapered shaft-correct? Something doesn't seem right about the combination. It fit together fine, and I tried it on the ice and I shot fine with it, but again, something seems off. Did I pair the wrong blade with the wrong shaft?

There are tapered and non-tapered RM19's.

IIRC the RM7 is a short-hosel standard blade. Do you have any other blades to test? See if the RM7 fits in both ends of the shaft. If so, they're all probably standard and not tapered.

Thanks for the help. It looks like I picked up a non-tapered RM19 shaft with the standard short-hosel RM7 blade, so all is good. The look kind of threw me off, but the combination will work. It's a nice set-up.
