My Buddy wants...

My buddy is going to get a whole new set of pads since his are old and out dated and could use some new ones. Our colors are gold and navy. We both have 2 more years left for high school and he is the starting goalie. He is a big fan of Marc Andre Fluery too might i add. He is deciding pm the RBK premier II all gold w/ black accents or the vaughn velocity 3's white, with navy and gold. He has vaughn vision's now but has wanted RBK's for some time now. What do you think would be a good choice for him?

No he hasnt tried any of them. And im asking which one is better, or do you think he would like.

there both good pads just depends what he wants if he wants a snugger channel then go with the V3 if he wants a stiffer pad and more looser feel then the RBK

he should deffinitly try on both pads but if he cant well, if he is happy with the vaughns he has right now, he minght as well stay with them. but if he wants to try something new he can go with the rbks

If his principle criterion in choosing pads is looking like OMGWTFMAF, tell him to get some sport-gold RBK 5Ks on clearance and spend some time in front of the mirror.

If, on the other hand, he wants something that will feel vaguely like his Visions while performing and lasting one hell of a lot better, tell him to get the Velos and spend some time on the ice.

Both are top of the line pads. Both are quite popular amongst goalies in the NHL. But both aren't even remotely the same.

We can't tell your buddy what he will or will not like. He has to go and try them on himself, and see what "feels" better. If he's going to drop that kind of money on new equipment, it just makes sense.
