You should start with a visit to a Podiatrist or Sports Medicine Physician, he/she can direct you to the correct answer. You are likely not going to find it on a web bulleten board.

I get that and did in this case send my son to a podiatrist. He didnt really give me an answer in any meaningful way & I thought that with the breadth of knowledge on this board some people may have actually received some useful information on this issue in the past.

Sounds like you need a different podiatrist. He should have been able to tell you what is needed to correct the problem. What exactly did he say?
