I don't know much about curves..

Yeah so I need some help as I don't understand the terminology of curves and what benefits what. I believe that Modano curve is good for wrist shots? What is the Brendl and Nash curve for? Thanks.

Have you checked out epuck's blade tool?

Technique will affect how well certain curves work for each person. If you don't have strong forearms, a Modano won't be your best bet for wrist shots. The Modano's great for slappers (wide, gradual surface to hit the puck with). The newer Nash (supposedly a Sakic look-alike) is good for high slappers IMO. Some have no problems doing everything with it while I don't like it for stickhandling or pass receiving. I can't comment on the benefits of big curves like the Brendl, except that I can't stickhandle with those types of curves, but that's just me.

Alright, I am gonna buy a whip flex Nash or Brendl Curve and I am wondering which one would be best for wrist shots. Also in the department of slapshots.. will the Brendl and Nash curve both be good? Thanks.

We've discussed this a few times and different curves will react differently with each player. A brendl may be amazing for your slapshot, but others will hate it. It depends where you hit the puck, how consistantly you hit it there, your shot technique and many other things which for alot of people will vary.

In general, I would recommend the Nash over the Brendl, and the smaller curve over the bigger curve anyday. I've found that as I've played more and more and fine tuned my game, I've progressed towards milder and milder curves. Think of it this way, I started playing with Yzerman-esque curves, and now I'm more of a Mogilny or a milder Iginla type of guy, the curves not the players unfortunately. I would recommend, since you don't know which one you want, try to find a blade or a woody in each pattern and see how you like that, cuz few things make you feel dumber than buying an expensive piece of skill equipment and finding that it just won't work and you'll be playing with that nagging feeling... Speaking from experience

I bought a Brendl XN10, thinking it kind of looked like an Iginla curve. I also could not stick handle with it. I went right back to the Iginla wich is great for wristers.

I personally love the brendl curve. I had a awesome wrist shot with it, my slapshot is better with that curve than with anything else, and i could stick handle great with it (i can stick handle with anything though). But in the end it all comes down to what you feel comfortable using.

i find it harder to use bigger curves like nash, it seems ahrder to make quick stickhanles because of the loft. THE modano is good for everything except wrist in my opinion

I actually loved it for slap shots and even wrist. I just couldnt get down stick handling with it like I could with my Iginla curve. Dont know why.

I have no access to testing out either of these curves, so I will do what the normal retard would do and buy the curve of the player who scored the most goals.. lol Nash :D

hey...if his name's on it...it's gotta score FOR you, right? hahaha

seriously though...I have a Nash with my R2XN10, and it feels really good for everything I do (snapshot, deke, pass). I don't slap much, though.
