New Vaughn NHL Legal Thigh Guards

I was just looking around on the internet for knee pads when I came across these. I tried the knee pads and didn't like them, They slid on my knees and gave me blisters. These tie right into the pad so they look like a good alternative

Above is the discription of the thigh boards. If they are truly "NHL LEGAL" they wouldn't have any 5 hole blocking properties. Since the gear has been streamlined making the old style flaps that extended and closed the 5 hole in the butterfly. These look they would be fitted tighter arounf the leg and go under the pants

Haven't seen him wear it unless they were under his socks as extra padding...which is what looks like these are. Looks like the upper part of a knee pad to lace into your pads. Idk if I'd trust these alone in protection as they look kinda thin.

Those things do not protect! I had them on my Boddams, and I had countless times where I would get hit in the knee. Because of the T design it doesn't give protection to the side of the knees. Seriously you would be way better off with knee pads, or get a hockey shop that deals with repairs to custom build you some boards that are legal and protect the in and outside of the knees.
