Why can't they just drop the crest 3/4" and split the difference on the letter size? I don't think anyone would be the wiser.

I'm glad they keep with the traditional look. They kept the Wings jersey as is should be and hopefully as it always will be. Just because you can make changes doesn't mean you should.

And "C" on the left, or "C" on the right, I'm fine either way.

I understand where you are going with this, but if the Red Wings would've said "Well, we're doing this to honor our heritage" I wouldn't have had a problem with it. However, it 's being done because of the jersey design - and it's going to stand out when you have 29 other teams with the patch on the left side.

How is that any different then Buffalo putting numbers on the front of their jerseys? If the league isn't gonna enough a uniform uniform policy then you can't blame the Wings for making a small change to keep their jersey looking the same.

Your post makes zero sense. The Sabres' numbers are on the right breast - doesn't interfere with the captain patch.
