pad laces?

I was wondering what way everone ties the laces of the pads through the skates?. Me personallyt I go through the first hole and second hole in my skate holders and around the back, and tie the up top.. But I have been having problems with the laces slip underneath by blades and have been cutting them.. also the strap that goes under my pad I have been pulling tight. Should it be?

Everyone has their own likes and dislikes....it's all Personal Preference. Find some spare time and experiment with a few different options. I run my laces through the Toe hole, then cross them around the back heel, and then up and over my boot. I'm thinking about trying something different next game...but again, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. As for the Bottom strap, I have two, one through the heel hole, and one in the middle hole. I used to crank them tight, but I'm loosening them up a little, and like it a lot better. It's snug, but it's not completely loose. Keeps the pad close, but allows for adequate rotation when B-flyin. Just my technique, feel free to try, and modify according to your PP. Hope this helps

Edit: I also have a knot tied an inch off my pads. Picked that up here, tried it, and liked it, and kept it.

i have three holes in the bottom of my skates, and i cross the toe tie through all of them. i only have one boot strap and i put that through the last hole in my skate, the one by the heel

Yeah, that's kind of what I meant.

I put my toe ties through the back hole so that the left one comes out on the right and vice versa. Then I tie a little knot on top of my laces.

depending on how far you want your skate to be away from the pad when you tie on the toe laces.... you should put a knot at that length that way you can tie the toe laces tight but there is still slack left over from the knot which will prevent slippage of the lace, as for the strap i wear mine pretty loose and i have never had any kind of problem like that so maybe try goin looser so that way there is less excess left over to slip on
