I would love to have a pair of these. Tried on some velos and they were awsome.

there a very light, durable pad that works very well and is also very innovative with the stabilizer bar on it aswell as the adjustable straps and inner knee padding that u can add and remove if needed

I think you needed at least one more field on your poll. Something along the lines of "I love them ... but" :P

As a current Velocity pad user, I gotta say...far and away the best pads I've ever owned. Totally changed my game.

My Vaughn Velo Pads....

That having been said. I looked at the V2's and am impressed with the technical aspects of the pad. Anti roll calf wedges are a plus, ice seal strip is a bonus. I am not quite as impressed with the ice bite strips on the calf wedges as I like to be able to slide side to side with a pad or both along the ice. Seems the ice bite would be a hinderance.

That aside. I hate the new graphic!

Not that Vaughn could ever be accused of having great graphix but I really dislike the new one...

hey man, ice bit are you talking about the stabilizer bar. if u are it will actually give u more control to move while on the ice. If you would like to have the V2 stabilizer bar you can have vaughn put it on for like 50-80bucks i think. I know it can be done because ive asked the vaugh rep and said it was possible.

Yeah, I actually spoke to the Vaughn rep about the same thing. I was all gung ho about getting the calf wedges added until I thought about the way they might interfere with the whole pad down slide aspect of my game. In the end I opted to leave everything as is. When it's perfect, you don't mess with it... :D

Velocity 2 pads are just plain, GREAT! I've recently switched back to them and find that I feel most comfortable in them in both moving and skating. Vaughn recently sent me a set to borrow while mine are being made. Then sent me a 37" which is essentially a 36+1. At first I thought they would be way too big but quickly realized that this is the size I have needed all along. The extra inch along with the flex of the pad really helps close up the 5 hole, especially with a narrower flare in the legs. Great stuff!
