Lacrosse shoulder pads for hockey?

Recommended Posts

How would these shoulder pads work for hockey? I play midget Rep (not sure whether I'm playing AAA or B as tryouts are not over), and the LHS worker suggested these rather than the SW 5030s that I was interested in. They seem like they would be protective enough. They also had some green Warriors, but they seemed really short. Any other shoulder pad suggestions are welcome, TIA.

I tried my brothers lacrosse shoulder pads for hockey once and they didnt really feel a whole lot different. I did feel like i had a very small increase in mobility. btw im sure ive played you a few times as ive played nanaimo bantam aaa for 2 years and major midget last year and this year and ive played almost every vancouver team.

The lacrosse pads just felt alot better than the Itech 455s and Easton 500s I tried. I liked the Itechs because of the low profiled shoulder caps, but they felt really stiff and restrictive compared to the Lacrosse pads.

Tips, did you ever play for the Island Selects or Island Stars back in bantam? I remember playing both teams in tournaments (it was either the Challenge Cup or Mainland tournament)
