Sher-Wood 5030 Shoulder Pads

I think people are fooled by the old-school looks of the 5030 shoulders; they offer good protection as far as I am concerned. The foam in them is the same that high-end shoulder pads have, there's just less of it and less hard plastic. It disperses the force of impacts in a way that "real" old shoulder pads just couldn't. I don't hesitate to go down to block shots while wearing them, and any pucks I have taken up high have never done any damage.

I've actually seen a number of NHL'ers wearing these pads. Wade Belak comes to mind.

I'm probably going to get that rbk triple impact shirt so I'll let you guys know if they are compatible with the 5030s.
