One90 Problem?

Recommended Posts

you got a free pair of skates, ones that you never really paid full price for. quit being such a bitch. Misaligned holders arent the end of the world. And the 400$ you saved on your skates, take $20 out and get them aligned

You shouldn't have to fix the alignment on any brand new skates. When it happens on skates that retail for as much as the One90s (or other top of the line skates), it's not acceptable.

Exactly my point, it's not about getting them aligned, they actually would do it for 10$, the fact is I should not have to align every skate I buy, like this is a 7C, if you re drill your actually just making wider holes in the sole, theres actually very little room to miss and they still manage to do it wrong...

By the way, I did not get a free pair of skates, NikeBauer are not in the business of handing out Free pairs, they replaced a defective pair because they chose to stand by there product, there flagship product at that...

thank got I did not pay full pop, thats why I'm reluctant to pay for skates, funny thing is, almost every kid in the team I coach or play have misaligned blades and they don't even know, I'm sure this is the root cause of some back pain in older players...

If i don't sell em, I might just end up putting Pitch holders on em if the holes are not to close since i actually like that blade, if I chose to sell them they will scoop them up easy...

Hey man, are you from Ottawa? If so, what LHS did you buy the one90's from?

Hull, Duguay Sport

On my first pair of Vapor XXXXs the holders were slightly off and the outsole started separating. My new pair looks good so far.

Hey I'm from Hull too...it seems that half the guys at Duguay know what they're doing and the other half doesn't know jack. That's still where I buy everything though. Went on Saturday and they had just gotten the new XXXX sticks.

Pascal is the man to see about anything there, the big guy that sharpens skates usually does a good job but you need to be real spesific or sometimes he does give you a deep hollow, theres 2 young guys that know what to do but there part time and rarely there...

I looked at every pair (in my size) of XXXX's at my LHS and they all had some variance from skate to skate on the holder- is this really such a big deal?

Not wen you are just shooting around in a warm up but in a game time situation, it's like I have poor edge control, wen I try to make a hard stop with my edges parallel, you get crazy wobble and your feet spread appart...

Also most of them the hell is not centered so wen you turn you sometimes lose that edge, if something is not strait, your hole body compensates and that can cause back pain...

My Missions right now even tho there beat up and mushy the alignment is perfect so my edge control is bang on...

Like you said, most people dont care...
