Synthesis Elite Pants?

The 'Monkey has a pair of these pants in my size for like 60 bucks. Anyone have experience with these? I know they're SMU, but a shot in the dark.

Never wore them, but saw them in person a few years back when 1800Faceoff was still around in NH. They are pretty decent but a bit on the heavier side of things. Certainly seem to be a decent buy for $60 (I seem to remember them being around $100 at the time).

Very similar to Eastons S-9 and S-5 but a bit bulkier. From what I understand a very protective pant but also a bit on the heavier side. Can't beat Easton protection, you get a great bang for the buck. For sixty bucks I think they'd be a decent aquisition.
