In my opinion, the rbk stuff is the best around. I tried on a v3 set the other day and it felt really cheap to me. Once you get rbk stuff broken in, it just feels very good. I also prefer the shape of the rbk trapper. I don't know why, but the v3 stuff just didn't feel like professional quality to me. I know there are a bunch of guys that like vaughn here but I could never get down with the stuff.

i thought that the v3 blocker was one of the lightest i have ever tried on. The catcher did feel cheap and didnt seem to have a lot of protection. I havent been able to try on the p2s yet though

Go for the V3 blocker and 5500 cacther. Its what I did and i have p2 pads. I was the other way around before this set with v2 pads and ps1 gloves.

As far as gloves Vaughn> RBK

and pads RBK> Vaughn IMO

i have the p2 pads as well. Its difficult for me because theres no LHS's around (unless u count some pro shops)none of them carry vaughn eagle brians bauer ect the only thing they do carry is rbk 6k in int. so its hard for me to try on stuff

bummer

what gloves have you used before and did you like them?

the T5500 is the best vaughn glove ever. IMO the best ever glove was the summit but they didnt edit the break at all when they changed it to NHL spec so it feels akward in the new sizing
