Fixing Composite Stick Blades

Today I ordered a new XXX-lite from Demon Xtreme as my current XXX has a crack in the blade. I explained to the member of staff that I needed it asap as it was only a matter of time before my current stick snapped.

My new stick will arrive on Friday but they also offered to fix my old stick for me. I initially declined and said I was not interested, but after a few emails back and forth they decided to fix it for free and in return I would give them feedback.

They said it was a graphite fix, has anyone heard of or had a blade fixed like this before? If so how does it work? Is it durable? Will there be any noticeable performance difference?

I'm guessing that it will entail heating some sort of graphite sock over the top of the blade, giving it a stronger outer layer.

They don't show it on thier website yet but SRS offers a blade repair.

I think it may be like StickFix. They fix the shafts as well as blades. Here's their site...
