ronnychencharik 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2008 bump...has to do with liedoes anyone know the lie of the CCM Ovechkin curve...seems to be perfect for me.Feels a little less than 5.5 to me. But when I have used the 692's, I heat up the blade and make the curve a little more tame.
heatley015 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2008 AbbiesHockey20 , the sherwood rm9 crosby pattern is exactly the same as sakic but i am not sure of the lie, and also would an iginla curve be open enough, although again, i am not sure of the lie
Abbieshockey20 1 Report post Posted January 8, 2008 I ended up just sticking with the sakic, and it has worked out pretty good, would still prefer a 5 lie, but it works.
shooter27 117 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 I've been using the Sakic for a while as well, but my problem goes the opposite direction, I'm looking for something similar with a slightly higher lie. I've tried the BNH Naslund, but that sits a little bit higher than I would like. I know the Sakic is a 5.5 and the Naslund is a 6, but given blade shape/rocker affects how the blade sits. Is there anything out there that sits somewhere between the Sakic and Naslund? Thanks
mack 44 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 You could try Warrior's Draper in a 6 lie. Their lies are supposedly off, but they come in an option for 5 and 6.
burrn 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2008 regarding the first question...i was using Sakic for quite a while, too.there was once an occasion where i had to use a TPS Nash instead (by the way, i am very fond of TPS), because the LHS didn't have any Easton Sakics in stock, and i needed a blade replacement fast.at that point i considered Nash to be identical to Sakic, but after a while i started to realize that the lie was slightly lower than the Sakic...anybody experience this?if it's true Nash would be a perfect choice.
