Oakley visor/cage combo (link)

Recommended Posts

I would like to maintain full face protection, but want to try a visor for improved visibility. This looks like it could work well. I think I'd prefer a visor/cage combo over a full plexi-glass cage.

Anyone wear a visor/cage combo? Either Oakley or Itech? Pros/Cons?

Much appreciated!!!

Itech Concept II Deluxe will save you a good 20-30 dollars, has anti-fog anti-scratch coating, is very clear , is pretty much the same price as the replacement shields you would be buying if you ended up scratching an oakley shield. It's also lighter than a cage/shield combo.

Have you ever tried a white cage? CCM and Itech both make them(Itech's is black on outside and white on the inside). Cheaper in the long and short run, at least more so than the full visor or the split. I went from a half shield to a white cage and I really didnt notice a difference in visability.

I rocked a white FM480 and it was great, but now I currently rock it in chrome. I've also picked up the Itech with I2 because I saw it on eBay for a great price and I'd like to give it a try.

I use the Itech FX50 Combo and I really like it. I don't even know I'm wearing a shield; the vision is that good. The nice thing is that if you scratch up the shield part, you can replace just the shield and not the whole combo. I just posted a review on the FX50 yesterday, so look there for more information. There are also two other reviews.
