Mission Inline Sizing...

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I know usually skates are sized smaller than regular shoes...I wear a 9, but my skates (CCM Tacks) are 8.

How do Mission skates size? I think I read on here that Mission sizes the same as shoe sizes?

Is that true...let me know.

Thanks.

Close enough. I wear an 8.5 shoe and can go both ways(8,9...I wear a 9 because I have a pidgeon toed + bowllegged stride and can use the range of movement in the ankle). Can't quite squeeze into a 7 though.

I wear a size 9 - 9 1/2 shoe (depending on brand) and wear 9.5 d-limiteds and 9.5 proto vs'. I have a size 10 proto vi that works great also. I like extra room in the toe, and the d-limited ankle pockets only fit well around my ankle in a size 9.5 - tried 9 and 10's and they felt off.

I guess it's all personal preferance....what ever fits for you...personally I like it close to my shoe size (i wear a 9- 9 1/2 shoe as well), but prefer a size 8.5 or 9 mission, but its all PP. like stevoc, i like toe room too

i wear a size below my shoe size... I'd definitely suggest trying them on first though. my D1's i thought were way too small/narrow before the salesman reassured me that baking would solve both of those problems.

Did baking help the skates feel not so narrow? I have what I think is a wide foot, for the normal width's at a regular size feel too narrow also.

Just curious. thx

Well I've always worn the standard D width but when I ordered the 03 d1's they felt narrow on the sides of my feet and especially around the ankle. Went in to hockeygiant to trade them for the wider size but they baked them instead and they felt great.
