SanderNL 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 Hi,I watch a lot of NHL games via NASN. It is broadcasted in 4:3 format (square) but I thought hockey is recorded and broadcasted in widescreen in the US/Canada. Am I right and do I miss a lot of the play? I have seen some divx files of hockey in widescreen, and that is a lot better :o
DCott 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 You probably don't miss any of the play, but it looks better when you can see where everyone is. widescreen lets you see a huge chunk of the ice, and I think it's much more fun to watch.

I don't see where passes are going, or if there are defence men waiting for a forward breaking out... So I guess widescreen IS standard in the US?
DCott 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2007 oh I wouldn't sat it's standard, yet. It is broadcast based on what kind of TV you have. Though more and more are getting hidef TVs, which are all widescreen
