LS2 power steal in LS2 holder

Recommended Posts

Tonight i got my steal changed and the employee started to put LS2P steal in my LS2 holder and I started to question him on it asking him if thats the right steal and shouldnt it only go with the certain holder. I didn't check yet but i think he put a size 263 in a 273. Is this alright? it felt fine on the ice tonight but will this do any damage to the holder?

Generally there lsp and ls2 dont work together however there are some combos that do work. Although I would recommend against it.

Reason being when you put the 263 and 272 beside each other you'll find that the "hook" on the 272 is a little further than the 263. So the 263 is actually being pulled tighter than it should be which will probably make it prone to breaking a little more. You have a 1 year warranty with blade changes so if you dont mind keep it and if it breaks within a year bring it back if not then we'll you good to go.

remember lsp are longer in length than the ls2s which probably makes you feel "neutral". I'm not 100% sure what the factory profile is on the 263 maybe at 9' or a 20/40 on the cag?

As for any good? I cant see no benefits as bauer doesn't recommend that you mix the combos. Maybe there is a coolness factor or something. You know, "I have a lsp blade in my ls2 holder bitch!" type thing.

you can see right there on the blade its says ls2 power

So that's the LSP that everyone says they had issues with? The runner being bigger.

the one your skating on... not that the runner is bigger, but more blade is in contact w/ the ice.
