Graf fitting advice (Another one)

Recommended Posts

Hi, I live in the the UK and the one local Hockey shop doesn't carry a lot of stock so trying on the skates you want in your size is near impossible.

I took the advice of a friend and ordered the 703's. The length was fine width and heel felt a bit tightish but OK, the top of my foot ached really bad, leading me to believe I need a deeper boot. I've sinced learned the 703 is a shallow boot anyway.

Now the next choice would be the 705's described as "the standard fit". and "deeper than the 703" How much deeper are they?

The next is the 735's which apparently has the width and heel of the 703 but depth of 705. Sounds OK.

Finally I've also seen a really good deal on the G70's which apparently are the same fit as 709's (wide and deep) but with a medium heel. I know I don't need to be considering these really but they're on such a good deal and look so nice!

Does anybody have any expierence trying on various Grafs in a simmilar situation.

A larger guy in my men's league has them and he says they made a big difference. He's a bit on the chunky side as are his feet and originally bought the 703's. They where killing his feet so he toke them back and the guy in the hockey shop fitted him in a pair of 705's. Problem solved. The deeper fit got rid of his lace bite almost immediately. If that didn't work he was going to get him into some 735's but it wasn't necessary. Graf has a fit for almost every foot type but you need to try them out to be sure you are getting the right one. It really is best to work with someone at your local hockey shop if you are looking for your proper fit.
