I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum. I live out on Long Island, NY, and the two pro shops by me absolutley are horrid. Does anyone know any really good ones that are not Plaza Sports and not at the Rinx? Anyone who carries a lot of Nike Bauer? I know I could go online, but i'd rather give the $$$ to a shop.

try sports plus at Iceland. not sure how far from you they are, but they're a first line dealer for NBH and stock tons of stuff there. If they don't have it at that location, they can often pull what you need from one of three other locations.

The pro shop at Ice Works in Syosset is pretty decent. Wheelin' Willie's in Wantagh (IIRC), on Merrick Road just west of the Wantagh Pkwy., may be worth a look too.

there is huntington village sports in huntington. Like someone said Ice Works. Play it Again in Carle Place. If you don't like the Rinx stay away from any Port Jeff Sports because its all the same ie: The Rinx, Superior, and Port Jeff Sports. Just wondering why does everyone hate Plaza Sport? I have never had a problem, but its like an hour from my house so I don't go out there ever.

Li, you must be thinking of a different sports plus.

The one I'm talking about is a good sized chain centered in ridgewood. they have a location at Iceland rink in New hyde park, as well as in westchester county and one in connecticut. They're definitely not closed down.

Im thinking of the one by smith heaven mall. Where there was a arena and a ice rink. The roller rink i play at is down the street from it.
