9K's to Vector ZG's

Recommended Posts

Waiting to open a pair of 9K pumps for xmas but would like to pick up something to use for now (been a while).

Found some Vector ZG 110's on hockeymonkey for 99.99 and would like to know if a 5.5D in the 9K's would be about a 5.5EE in the Vector's?

I know the depth in the 9K's is deeper but I can fix that with an extra heel cup (already baked and tried'em on, worked great!)

So basically does 5.5D RBK = 5.5EE Vector?

Thanks!

P.S. I won't go to a lhs just to size myself and leave to order online.

I've never compared the width like that in the two skates personally.....where the major differences in those skates is going to be in the arch and the heel. The CCM has a much more abrupt/steep arch support than the RBK's. In other words, if you have a more normal/flat arch then the CCM's are going to give you some serious hot spots in your arch and instep. The other difference will be in the heel. The CCM has a much more narrow and deep achilles pocket in the skate when compared to the wider RBK. Since you might be using the only for 6 weeks it might be ok....but even if I were picking up a backup pair of skates, I would want to ensure that they fit properly.
