bc eagle 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2007 was wondering if this is worth gettingsaw a great deal that i want to jump on. but i want to know if there are any major differences between the regular premium console and this (except for the look)
hockeyherb 1 Report post Posted November 22, 2007 I'm pretty sure it's just the console cosmetics that are different. Is it worth the extra money? Only you can decide. If it were me and I could buy, say, another controller for the price difference, (not sure what the difference is though) then I'd have an easy choice. Cheesehead 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2007 The halo edition can't get the red ring of death becuase they have the new chip. I am pretty sure about that, but it could be wrong cuase i either heard it or read it online. If you do get a 360, get an extended warranty from the place you got it. Mine got the red ring of death, and i had to wait around 5-6 weeks for them just to send me another console.

AnthonyJTa 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2007 it's no different than the premium bundle aside from a coat of paint. same storage space, etc. As previously posted, there have been rumors that the Halo edition is shipped with a different processor than the previous 360's were shipped with... but- that same rumor also applies to the standard premium 360's that hit shelves later in 2007. I would highly advise if you do buy one, go to a chain electronics store- preferably Best Buy. Purchase the $90 warranty replacement plan. Best $90 I've ever spent. I'm on console #3, and each time my 360 has shit the bed, I walk right into Best Buy and swap it out for a brand new one... no questions asked. I would rather, than deal with the horror of Microsoft customer service, the "brown coffin", and the 6-8 wks wait...

chrisg19 5 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 I saw this bundle at Buy.com, it seems like a pretty good deal, so I thought I would pass it along...Xbox 360 BundleI believe that the ones bundled with the two Games (Forza/Marvel) are also the ones with the newer 65nm cpu.Chris

mack 44 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Not sure, I just remember the lady at the UPS drop-off at the airport recognising what was in the box before I even got to the counter.
AnthonyJTa 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Not sure, I just remember the lady at the UPS drop-off at the airport recognising what was in the box before I even got to the counter.Poor suckers at Best Buy don't even get the box back when I swap out burnt out 360's... like I said, I'm on my 3rd console- I got 3 empty 360 boxes in my closet. chrisg19 5 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Not sure, I just remember the lady at the UPS drop-off at the airport recognising what was in the box before I even got to the counter.Same thing happened to me, the guy at the UPS store saw me walk in the door from across the store, and yelled "360? just leave it on the counter". Then on the return delivery the UPS guy said to my wife he has lost count of how many of these returns he has delivered. He had as many as 6 on one day. That is messed up. Microsoft handled it well as far as the repair, and all, but there is no doubt in my mind that every single xbox 360 will eventually fail.Chris
mack 44 Report post Posted November 25, 2007 It was just weird, since it's a plain box and didn't have any indication of what was inside it and the lady spotted it right then. It was only the 2nd return I'd known about among my friends or myself and the lady said she got about 10 a week. Awesome product.
