New holder/hollow question

Recommended Posts

I searched, but couldn't find anything in specifics...

I've been in RBK skates w/ E-Pro holder the whole year+ I've been skating, I'd have a neutral radius put on them, and have been skating on a 9/16 hollow with no issues/noises, etc.

I finally gave up, and switched to a Flexlite 18 (deeper fit, etc) with Tuuk Lightspeed2's... It's a smaller runner, and I skated in them for the first time today on my usualy 9/16 hollow and they were pretty noisy/chattery when I would stop, and make sharp turns. I didn't get a radius put on them, I figured I would try to keep them as is.... Would I need to adjust my hollow, or is the radius putting on a different part of the runner- and it's something I'll just gradually adjust to?

Thanks guys..

AJT

As new runners don't usually come with a true radius on them, it is always a good idea to have a radius done.

The guy told me he was contouring them, and sharpening them... and if I wanted a more 'neutral' stance, to bring them back and he'd put a new radius.
