Did you have to "re-break-in" your gloves after repalming?

Recommended Posts

Just got mine done, and the reason I got them repalmed rather than get a new pair was because they were 10 year old gloves that were broken in perfectly.

The fingers don't exactly flex wide open, and I don't know if they used too small of a palm, or if it's normal to have to break them in again.

Did they also replace the gussets?

It may be the case that the new palm was shaped a bit different than the original palm. It is also the case that palms will stretch with use, so what you are experiencing may not be uncommon.

you just have to stretch the palms out. after ten years, your palms have stretched a fair amount along with the ripping. you probably don't remember, but i am willing to bet this is what your gloves felt like when you first got them.

just bend the fingers back and stretch the hell out of the palms while you are watching tv or somethig. wear them a few times and they will be good.
