Do you ever feel pressure on the navicular bump? That's the bump on the medial side (inside) close to your heel area.

I also have a pronounced navicular bump and have a hard time finding skates that don't pressure that area. But in my case, my foot is narrow through the forefoot, so to get a skate that fits the forefoot area would likely mean a skate that's tight through the midfoot and navicular region.

navicular bump...so thats what that painful thing is called. My feet are similar to this guys other than not being quite so wide and that is where the pain comes from for the most part. Well that and skates with high arches.

Thought I'd a little update:

I'll be trying a retail pair of Shift 2's, and if those don't work out, Kor is willing to make me a custom pair.

I know this is a long shot, but what size Superfeet do I need? The skates are 9.5 (same as shoe size, according to Kor), so I think the 9.5-11 will be right, but I'm not sure if the arch will sit too far forward. Unfortunately, my LHS only carries Shock Doctor footbeds, so I can't try out the Superfeet.

Most of my pain comes from the outside of my mid/forefoot. I've never had skates wide enough in that area. Luckily, I have never really noticed pain on the navicular bump.

Hey that looks exactly like my feet!

I'm wearing 8D Vapor XIX's and they cramp up pretty good. Must have been poorly fitted. 7k's are looking pretty tempting if I ever get my W2 in the mail...

You have a similar foot and are in 8D Vapor. :o

An EE Supreme 70 still felt too narrow for my foot.

Yeah, and they felt fine at first, but eventually I had to have them punched out in the toes, and if I tighten them down to the point where I actually feel comfortable on my edges, they will cramp up terribly after skating.

The other thing is I still feel like the heel is a bit wide! Shame too, since I've read the 7k has a wide heel. Apparently I need something with a ridiculously wide toe box, a ridiculously narrow heel, and medium depth. Which reminds me, I should go try on skates today...

EDIT: Here's my creepy lizard feet:

I've got the same general shape, without the bump inside the ankle, although thankfully I have normal arches (I think).
