Picking up some cheap sticks

Recommended Posts

At work I am trying to bring hockey to some California folk. I need to pick up a bundle of sticks for cheap. Are these sticks actually straight pattern (no curve)?

I actually prefer the Lindros curve but these might work. We all shoot right but I dunno if these are more of an annoyance or if they could be more widely used.

Thanks, for some reason I completely blanked on ABS. Sadly, it looks like that stick is sold out too.

I would just go with the original sticks you were looking at. If all of these people are brand new, it won't matter much what you put in their hands for the first couple of times as it'll be alien to them. If they get hooked, they'll figure out and buy what they want. In the meantime, they aren't likely to be as hard on any stick as someone who even has the most basic shooting down will.

That being said, it they want to fork over some money, then by all means get something a little spendier that might last longer

If you're looking for cheap sticks, Sport Authority usually have a bunch with ABS blades for under $20. They are heavy and durable, perfect for beginners. I try to avoid Monkey as much as I can because they like to tack on additional fees to your order.
