see if hockeygiant.com or someone has a bauer 5000 on clearance in your size. that should be a rouder fitting helmet like your rbk

If i cant find the bauer 5000, does the 5500 fit the same? Also just curious how would the 8500 compare? I am not able to go try on helmets, there are no LHS's within two hours of where i live.

try a 4k

Thanks for the help, but I really dont want another RBK helmet, i want to switch back to NBH.

Let me understand this:

1. You have an 8k and like the fit

2. You want to get another helmet that fits like an 8k

3. You want to spend less than you spent on the 8k

4. You only want this new helmet to come from NBH.

NBH doesn't make a helmet that fits like an 8k so you're pretty much screwed there. Since branding seems to matter so much to you, just do this:

1. Buy an RBK 4k or 6k

2. Scratch out or paint over the RBK logos

3. Spend five minutes making a stencil that looks like the NBH logo

4. Spray the stencil onto your new helmet invalidating the warranty but making you look super-cool by sporting the currently correct brand logos.

Or you could actually try being an individual and not really giving a shit what logo is on your gear.

Big difference between the 8k and the 5000/5500 for me.

i agree. it is noticeably not as round as an 8k. i just mean out of the NBH models it would be his best bet from my experience of trying them on.

my vote would also be the 4k if you can stay with rbk.

what about a ccm vector? or the new mission intake fusion.

Thanks for your help. I really dont care what everyone else is wearing, ive always had Nike gear since it has come out and i am trying to stay loyal to a brand.

I had a rbk 6k helmet and went out looking for a nbh helmet as well because most of my gear is nbh and I want to stick to one brand. Tried all the different models of nbh, different sizes but none of them fits the same or as comfortable as the rbk. Best bet is to get the 4k or 6k, you won't be happy with nbh

How about staying loyal to your head ?!?!?! The helmet that fits the best, will protect your head from injury the best. This soooooo much more important than brand loyalty. :o

Brand loyalty ?? What the ****, unless i work for this company...! How loyal is the brand to you ?? How loyal is Nike to Bauer?? Get fitted at your LHS or payed.

That's not brand loyalty, that's caring more about the logo than your safety.
