Mission Vanguard Chassis Size

I am planning on mounting a set of Mission Vanguard chassis on a pair of 10.5 RBK boots. The only data I can find regarding chassis to boot size says:

Chassis Boot

Medium 9-11.5

Large 12-13

Those are Mission boot sizes, which I know don't match up to RBK/CCM boot sizes. Normally I wear a 11.5 - 12 shoe, but it depends on the shoe brand.

I was close to getting the large chassis but now I'm not sure.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Great!

Now all I need is a pair of Large Vanguard chassis, preferably magnesium.

Inlinewarehouse is back ordered to the end of January, and this is after waiting two weeks while their website said December 12th, then on the 11th they changed the date to Jan 21.

I hesitate to post this becuase I hate it when poeple ask for my advice and then dont take it - which is what I am sort of doing here. <_<

So I skated in my buddies Wicked 5s the other night. They are size 10 and fit too tight for me, but I put them up next to my skates and the frames look like the same size, the mounting holes dont quite match but the length is the same and the front and rear plate sit in the same places. I even measured his wheelbase (from the front edge of the front wheel to the back edge of the back wheel) and mine, and they are within 1/4 inch of each other, his being a tad longer.

Also, I went home and laid four wheels out, 80-80-76-76 and measured, and I get a slightly longer wheelbase then what I have now.

Being that his skates are size Ten I'm assuming that the chassis are mediums. They're aluminum though and I'm looking for the Mags.

I do have a guy who has a pair of Magnesiums I'm supposed to check out next week, he removed them from a pair of size 9.5s to switch to Humers, again I'm assuming those are mediums as well. I realize thats a lot of assuming.

Obviously I'm thinking a medium might be the right choice after all, if I get a large I may have some wheel overhang which may translate to a wider turn radius.

Is there anything I'm overlooking here that may come back to screw me if I ignore sound advice and get a pair of mediums??
