vapor xxxx skates

hi all,

I recently got a pair of used pro stock vapor xxxx skates. To my surprise they were a size 9 D/AA when I looked under the footbed (they were listed as a size 9D).

My question is what does the AA mean, and does it refer to the heel or the midfoot and heel?

it's a narrow heel.

Yup, regular width (D) with a narrower than standard heel cup (AA).

D/A would be a regular width skate with a regular width heel cup.

The reason I'm asking is because I have a pro stock bauer skate but the inscription under the insoles is not well marked. I believe it's written D/AA. Is it possible to make this size? I thought to have an AA heel, one must have a C or B width? Anyone know?

Is there any way of knowing what size the skate is based on the custom order number in the skate? (ex. Nike/Bauer database) Probably not just curious. :)
