T blade switch...

Recommended Posts

Also which rocker should I choose? I stood up my skate flat on a piece of paper in the counter to see where the back and front of the blade stop making contact straight up and down, marked those two points, and it was about 8 inches in between them.

Here's some info off the cardboard label that comes with TBlade replacement runners (softbag).

short rocker ~ 9ft

medium rocker ~ 11ft

long rocker ~13ft

Sharpness

9mm 5/16"

11mm 3/8"

13mm 7/16"

15mm 1/2"

18mm 5/8"

21mm 3/4"

Hope that helps.

A good runner to start with would be a M-13-280 and then try other combos if you want to tweak.

I ordered them with M 15 280 because the guy that sharpens my current skates always uses half inch. Half inch is standard isn't it?

If you get your T'blades and feel a little stumbly on them, I highly recommend the short rocker, I used the M for about 2 months, and went to the S, and my turning radius really got a lot tighter, and faster. Just my 2 cents...

I'm gonna experiment with them, I have heard pretty good things around the rink about them so I'll probably order a few diff rockers/hollows combos...Does the blade get sharper as the hollow number is increased or decreased?

They will all be sharp regardless. The correct question is which has the deeper hollow. Your answer....the lower the number the deeper the hollow in the blade.
