Im thinking of picking one of these up as a cheap alternative for practicing with ice pucks. Is this similar to the ice or do the pucks roll allot when stickhandling or shooting?

Go to Bunnings and ask for some High density molecular weight Polyethelene!... same material used in hip prosthetics where you want really low coefficient of friction. not too sure if they can get it though, but worth a try. I think they sell it like $50 for a 1mx1m piece... cheaper than buying and shipping...

will drop by bunnings the next time to confirm.
