I can feel the rivets underneath my soles

Recommended Posts

A couple months ago I bought a pair of Graf 735s - I'm noticing more and more I can feel the rivet holes near the ball of both feet through the sole.

This didn't happen the last time I wore Graf skates - is my only option to go back to the LHS and purchase replacement soles? :(

They are RMS bolts rather than traditional rivets, and I've noticed some quality issues when I was looking at Graf skates a couple of years ago with how they were applied. Specifically, the nut wasn't consistently flush with the sole such that I tried a couple of different pairs that fit me until I found a pair that didn't have this issue with the nuts. Not sure if a new insole would help, or only hide it until they compressed. I heard that Graf Q/A has improved since then, but haven'y checked myself.

I use to work in a ski shop a while back. We use to have the boards we used to build up insoles. They are usually pink and tan and are thick and thin they would probably work very well for that. If I can find a picture or remember the name I will post it. If you have a local ski shop they will know and they should be super cheap or free.
