"Grumpy 21" Mission Pattern

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if this Mission pattern is available in a replacement blade?

I notice a Mission Fuel Grip at a LHS with "Grumpy 21" on the nameplate. It was a RH 95 flex, and it seemed like a cross between a Forsberg and a Sakic:

Lie 5.25

1/2" heel through toe curve (more heel than Sakic)

Medum blade length

Round toe

Open at toe (More open than Forsberg)

Less rocker than a Sakic

It's Mark Parrish. I thought the Monkey had some of his blades, but it may have been from the first batch last year.

That curve is the missing link for me. I use Forsberg/Modo, and I've tried Sakic/Nash, and I am basically using the lesser of two evils. Sakic is too open for me, and I wish the Forsberg curve wasn't so much all in the heel.

That would be why I'm not scoring goals like Parrish either. Man, have you seen his one-timers lately on his goal scoring streak?

Don't get too excited, I looked and they're not listed anymore.

Meh, I have to go tonight to check out shoulder pads anyway. And I only live about half a mile away.

Thanks for the heads up all.

Yeah, he's all of a sudden looking like a "skill" player. Some pretty goals.

I'm using an Elias now, and it's like a Modano, but it opens up at the toe instead of staying neutral. Very cool curve.

Yes, they had two sticks, a Parrish 85 flex and a Grumpy 21 95 flex, both at full retail for a Fuel. I have no clue why their pro stocks would be that much money.

I took a brief look at it, and it is backwards handed to me, but it looked like a 3/4" mid curve, very open, like a bigger, more open Lindros, and not a Sakic.

They had a bunch of other pro stocks there, and a whole wall of TPS pro stocks still, all at $100. If those things went to $60 they'd fly off the shelves, but I guess they'd rather sit on them. That's the problem with the big stores, they don't blow out their inventory like LHS' do.

And they've still got a crapload of Endures and Endure 2's. And pretty much no wood sticks anymore.

But I'm heading back tonight for a Vector 8.0 shaft
