Fit problem developing

Recommended Posts

After finally getting a reasonable amount of ice time on my 7k's, I am noticing an issue with both skates. There are hot spots developing where the heel cups in just below the ankles. When I feel the liner, there is a rough area worn into the clarino. What I am assuming is that my feet were moving too much - I had been leaving the top eye unlaced, but even with the skates pumped there was too much play. Since starting to lace up the top eye, my foot is bedded better in the skate, but it causes pain in that area. Is there much that can be done to address this issue - punching this area might not be an option, as flattening out the bulge in the heels will probably lead to my heel lifting too much.

Thanks

Yup - D it is. The problem is the rest of my foot fits the skate perfectly - I have a Tack foot, but a Bauer heel. Would Superfeet do anything to hold the foot in place more?

The RBK heel is a wider heel. The best solution is to get a skate with a narrower heel - D/AA. This would require a custom order.
