Mission HE 9500 Skates

Looking for a pair of 8D or 7.5D Mission 9500 Skates. Would prefer new (obviously), but would settle for a pair of barely used. If anyone has any, or knows where I could get them, please let me know. Thanks a lot.

are you deadset on the Hi-Lo and specific boot of the 9500? This yr's Syndicate line would be a good fit in comparison, but has the Vanguard instead of the standard Hi-Lo

I am really just looking for the boot. They are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, on any skate. As for this year's model... after trying on the Wicked line, and seeing how awful they felt, I'm not in any hurry to try the new ones. Unless I hear positive feedback about the fit.

it's a night and day difference. I had my Boss skates baked when I got them, skated an hour at the rink for a normal skating session and played last night in them with no pain whatsoever. The biggest key is just getting the cuff a little worked in so your heel actually sits in, which is normal for most skates. I had HE10000's, and the Syndicate line is what should've followed them instead of the Wickeds

you could also go for an AG ice boot

I take it the Boss skates are equivalent to the 10,000's?

yes, the lineups go:

10000 - Boss

9500 - Lieutenant

7500 - Assassin

5500 - Soldier

The mid end skates this year seem a bit firmer throughout compared to the counterparts above, but not stiff in the way the Wicked's are. I was actually looking for Lieutenants at my LHS, but because the Wicked's left a bad impression on a lot of people they started with just the Boss and Soldier. I spent 40 minutes in the Boss skates before I decided the price difference was worth instant gratification.

At your LHS, what were the prices for the models roughly?

$529.99 for Boss and $199.99 for Soldier. They have since picked up the Assassin as well for $299.99.

I'll have to locate them and try them on. TO be honest, I was really looking for the 9500 boot and put an ice holder on it, but I will definately check out the new line.

definitely check out the AG ice line then, the Syndicate boot design is derived from that

Yeah, I tried on an AG, and it was pretty comfortable.
