Do I have to go custom?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to get a pair of One90's in a size 9E (D is too narrow, EE is too wide b/c of the B heel). A few years ago (I think 5-6, but I can't quite remember) I was able to get a pair of Bauer 7000's in an E width at retail, but I haven't been able to find them since. Has Bauer stopped making the E width other than for customs? Also, if I get custom can I possibly get an EE/A width

Thanks

I believe E/EE are the same thing and different companies use different names for the wide width. If you can order custom I'm sure you can have your foot measured and have it made however you need it.

If you're that hard up to get One90s you're going to have to get customs with a narrow heel. Otherwise I'd just keep trying different skates.

Id try it. Its just a $65 upcharge (varies with stores) and if theres some time you can throw in the hat, get a custom pair.

As a player who has owned customs and retail my argument is this. Unless you have something really different about your feet that is hard to address in a retail model go custom. Otherwise I agree with the fella before, Try on different skates until you can get something that works. Custom's can be a real pain in the ass. Especially if your heel problem doesnt get solved, then youre out some coin.
