Mylec Ultra Pro Training Mat weight bearing?

Recommended Posts

Quick question.....I would like to lay down some of this material in my garage for stickhandling and shooting drills. My main question is this: is the material strong enough for me to leave the mats down and park my vehicle on it...or would I need to pull the mats up everytime that I am done using them? Or is there a better alternative to these mats that would satisfy the same purpose and be more durable/weight bearing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

i bought a few of these already and i was wondering the same thing - it is pretty heavy duty though.

i think it might actually be able to take the weight - although obviously you will just have to take my word for it since i haven't tried it.

i don't know either, i am just hazarding a guess. If there are support structure on the underside, then the squares probably could hold the weight. I would think though that it might weaken the joints over time. Also, say if you turned your wheels while the car is stopped, i think that would break the joints as well.

So i would guess it might work, but not for long. Seems like if they go together quickly it might not be a big deal to take them apart after use.

Like i said though, not ever seeing the product, it's just a guess.

Yes, you should be fine. We have one in our showroom and it's taken a lot of abuse.

Besides, Mylec is an industrial flooring company. Their main purpose is putting down industrial strength flooring in high traffic areas. This is made from the same stuff.
