Polishprince85 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2008 hey guys, i used to like the Bauer Jokinen but apparantly i changed my style because now its starting to wear on the heel. I got the mission ribiero bc its nearly the same curve and the same lie, and i still have the same problem. I tried cutting my stick down and that hasnt worked either. What lie would be good for me?? Im 5'10 and skate low and like to keep the puck out in front of me. I like to turn alot and thats why i need a blade with alot of ice contact. Im also more of a slapper guy and I like the slight heel curve or even nearly a straight blade with some lip as it gives me alot of control on my slapper and alot of control when i pass and stickhandle. CAn Anyone help???
Chadd 916 Report post Posted January 24, 2008 http://modsquadhockey.com/pics/chadd/31-27.jpgTPS P31 on the left. 5 lie, very little rockerI need to find pics of my old custom pattern, very small curve and a slightly sub 5 lie.
Timber 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2008 I'll throw out NBH P72 for a 5 lie heel curve, not too much curve through the rest of the blade after the initial heel takeoff.

Sounds like you have a flaw in your mechanics then. I have a fairly heavy, hard shot and I rarely break blades.
Polishprince85 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2008 i would agree with you but i practice my shot alot. i always break the blades in the middle wears theres contact with the puck they just dont make them durable enough. any other manufacturers for me?? The Stranger 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2008 If you can find a pattern that works for you, the mission pro stocks that hockeymonkey is selling are as durable as you are going to get.
Engine37 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2008 The Warrior Fedorov curve looks like it might fit the bill if you can find one in a 4 Lie. The Dolo blades w/Federov curve are theoretically available in a 4, 5, or 6 lie. I'd also recommend checking out some of the Mission and Warrior prostock blades that are available at Hockey Monkey right now. You might be able to find one that is exactly what you want, and there are lots of photos on the MSH thread so you can at least get an idea about what you're buying before you make a purchase. N!! 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2008 i would agree with you but i practice my shot alot. i always break the blades in the middle wears theres contact with the puck they just dont make them durable enough. any other manufacturers for me??It sounds like you could be making too much contact with the toe of the blade first. What that would do is take all of that force and apply it prematurely to the toe, while the rest of the stick would continue forward (thus causing a diagonal crack in the middle of the blade). With a heel curve, why would you make contact in the middle of the blade?
