8090 vs s15

Recommended Posts

Looking for depth comparisons here. Asked on a previous 8090 post but got no takers...I know width wise they are in the same ballpark (as well as toebox), but haven't seen a direct comparison on depth..Previous posts have mentioned 8090 users morphing into S15's..

Thanks

forefoot and midfoot fit is similar, but the toebox is MUCH lower-volume on the S15s, and the lining material is obviously a lot different. have you tried on the current NBH Supremes?? or have you considered waiting for the new Supreme line to hit in a couple months?

I did the switch and i like it. Same volume (at least for me) for my brick feet. Do it!

Thanks Sven, going to have to see if my high arches will fit in those puppies (the hard part is hiding that receipt from the wife).

My 8090's are still in good shape, not quite deep enough, but I can tough it out for awhile...I've been reading the posts on the one95 with curiousity...I do plan on trying them out. I'm thinking mid summer for a puchase...Either the S15, one95, or custom Grafs (G7)

What size did you come from and go to in the S15's?

Not that I'd risk buying online just interested.

Cheeeeers!

Went from a 8.5EE in my 8090 to a 8E in the S15. During the breaking-in phase (which takes about 2-3 skates if you dont bake them, which i personally would never do with glued Easton skates) they were very small in the toebox area, but once broken in, they are perfect length and width wise.

So its a thing of personal preference, but 8E or 8.5E are fine.

Just for another comparison note, i needed a 9E 1500 skate.
