Law Goalie 147 Report post Posted February 8, 2008 Ngo, oh man, that was a joke. But here's the best part: one of our guys wrote up a protest over the break, and as a result, got the Scarbs' coach demoted (purely ornamental, but we get to chirp him even more now), the whole team got officially reprimanded for unsportsmanlike conduct (meaning that if anyone else complains, they get kicked out of the league) and possibly more to come, after a few meetings this week. What can I say, team full of lawyers. :)The Scarbs' big mistake was pissing off the refs. Their coach had apparently been filing regular complains about the refs, claiming they were 'biased against him'. Turns out UTSC was getting some *very* favourable considerations as a result - all of which stop. What a tool...
Somemeat 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 Hey Law Goalieplease get the coach kicked out he is a douche.Thanks(P.s i play on the division 1 utsc team...but shhhh)
Ngo_35 1 Report post Posted February 9, 2008 Yeah the coach for the Div I team is not the brightest person.Funny story actually: One of the refs who was working your game and mine too (DIV II) actually came into the shop. I always thought he was an asshat but turns out he's a good guy and actually works in con hall as well. It'll be fun to watch you two guys play each other this semester, hopefully there is no ill blood resulting in stupid injuries.
Platypus 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2008 looks like theres a few Div 1 NC guys here. Ill pay special attention next time we play UTSC and their coach. I remember our team thinking we'd get especially smoked since they make the trek from scarberia to play. as i recall they came out all business, but we get smoked every game so its hard to distinguish one team from another...and the refs are asshats. i didnt know con hall had a staff...but i havent been there since first year

You guys could make up the other team and it probably wouldnt be more than $5 each with 2 teams.

Was quite surprised to see this thread.Other rinks I'm playing at:Vaughan Sports Village - nice ice surface and the owner of the pro shop (Frank) is a good guy.Double Rinks at Jane and Hwy. 7 - smaller ice surface and arena in need of renovation/repair.Also played inline hockey at Oriole/Pleasantview last summer but that didn't turn out too well.
