Not saying it's right, just a guess at the motivation.But, he was HOF calibre 2,000 games in....forget 4,000+ and his early death. He's still be DOING games if he hadn't died.I just worry that there is a statute on announcers like there is on players, and if he doesn't get in soon...he will be removed from the ballot all together.
